The answer is no. YouTube does not provide a download link like many other video communities, which is too bad.  You can use the YouTube plug-in and code the videos into your own website. But there is no direct download.

A lot of us would like to have the videos to watch on our own computers, or to burn to disc and watch on television.

Some webmasters would like to download YouTube videos and put the videos on their own websites. But again, YouTube provides no easy to way to download videos.

But that doesn't mean you can't download them. You simply have to use a software program.  With the right software you can plug in the YouTube video URLs and the software will 'rip' the videos from YouTube. Now the downside is that the raw YouTube videos are not in the right format to work with. If you want to re-edit the videos, or watch them in QuickTime or Windows media you're going to have to convert them to a usable file type.

This usually involves purchasing video conversion software, which is an added expense. But with the right YouTube video download software you can rip the videos and then automatically convert them to the file type you need. With the right software you get two programs in one. A video downloader and a video conversion program.

Is the software expensive? No. You can find software that costs under forty dollars. In some cases, you can even find FREE software, which I"ll provide a link to below.

Personally, I use freecorder when I try to download youtube videos - not only is it free, but it allows me to convert my downloaded youtube videos to other video or even AUDIO formats.
